Melbourne's Colonial Stadium (formerly known as Docklands Stadium) was handed over to its new owners in March 2000.
The P.A. People were the successful P.A. systems sub contractor and have just completed the installation of all back of house, function room and main front of house P.A. systems.
The main front of house system consists of 44 custom designed speaker clusters and 48 delay cabinets.
The main clusters each consist of a JBL SP218 dual 18" sub cabinet, a OEM version of a JBL Venue Series 10" mid range flare, and a JBL 2352 high frequency flare fitted with a JBL 2447 neodymium driver.
The system is powered by over 120 Crown CT and MA series amplifiers, each fitted with a Crown USP2 digital signal processing module. Paging control is achieved using new Crown USM 810 mixers coupled to an AMX system, while the small production FOH mixer is a Soundcraft Spirit LX32.
