The P.A. People were privileged to provided supply and management of all performance communications for the 2004 Olympic and Paralympic opening and closing ceremonies in Athens, our second successive Olympiad.
The P.A. People were retained by Jack Morton Worldwide to provide the entire system which was significantly larger than that used in Sydney.

These systems comprised
|

- ClearCom MatrixPlus 144 port matrix system with over 60 ClearCom display stations
- Creative Audio ConcertCom Party Line system with 150 beltpacs on 25 different rings
- Twenty constant-transmit duplex radio bases
- Eight simplex mobile base radios
- Sixteen in-ear monitor transmitters
- Three FM transmitters and 7,500 receivers
- A multi-coupling system for all transmitterscovering 88-700MHz with both standard antennas and leaky co-ax coverage within athletes tunnels

Sydney 2000
A complete communications system was provided at Stadium Australia for the Olympic Opening and Closing Ceremonies including 18 Clearcom display stations, over 150 Creative Audio beltpacs on 18 different rings, Creative Audio Command Centres, constant-transmit radio bases and three FM transmitters.
The P.A. People managed over 950 2 way radios for these ceremonies.

Custom radio tracking software was developed specifically for these events. A complete optic fibre and cat-5 network was installed as part of the communications system. We believe the system was the single most complex event communications system ever undertaken in Australia. In addition to the communications system, The P.A. People were responsible for ensuring the in house sound system was fully prepared as a backup to the ceremony overlay system.
For the Paralympics, The P.A. People’s role increased to design implementation and management of the communications system for the Ceremonies.
